That's right. Commitments. Much more than mere promises.

1.  An education with a seal of quality rarely found elsewhere.

"You (the students) are the battlefield on which future wars will be won or lost...you cannot remain neutral...you will have to take a stand.  But keep in mind the principles you have imbibed in the university; keep your faith, and your faith will keep you!."

- President Ramon Magsaysay, BCS '33

       ·         Jose Rizal University is in the coveted Philippine Government (CHED) List of Autonomous and Deregulated colleges and universities of the land, an honor given to only 4% of the nation's 1,282 colleges and universities.  This is currently among, if not the highest seal of quality given to universities in the Philippines.

·         Key to this honor is Level III (LACOMED) accreditation.  Very few institutions have this seal of excellence and distinction.  We have it.

·         JRU Elementary School is one of the few elementary schools with Level I accreditation in the National Capital Region, a rare distinction.

·         JRU High School Division is one of the few secondary schools with Level I accreditation in the National Capital Region, a rare distinction considering that there are 6,598 high schools in the land, 20% of which are concentrated in NCR.  (Nationwide, the distribution is 60% public and 40% private.)

·         Our elementary school and high school curricula emphasize English, Math and Values as core areas of learning.  Our classroom hours (a key indicator of learning) are higher than that of BEC and most other private schools.

·         Founded in 1919 by the First Filipino certified public accountant, Jose Rizal University has the singular distinction of having the oldest business education program in the Philippines, which translates to unparalleled experience and competence in curriculum development and business education.

·         Among its long list of successful alumni are a President of the Philippines, a justice of the Supreme Court, several members of the Cabinet an Legislature, heads of banks and financial institutions, and leaders of educational institutions, and leaders of educational institutions, captains of industry, commerce, agriculture and trade.
