ARCHIVES SECTION (Bldg. H - 2nd Floor)
The
Archives Section of the University is the
repository of the most relevant records and
other manuscripts or printed materials
accumulated by the University since its
foundation in 1919 to the present. The area is
located at the second floor of the Main
Library.
Classified
researchers are allowed to use the collection.
All the documents kept in this place are limited
to room use only.
CIRCULATION AND RESERVE SECTION (Bldg. H -
Ground Floor)
The
circulation and reserve section is located at
the ground floor of the Main Library at Building
H. It keeps heavily demanded college textbooks
and various reference materials on all subjects and courses
offered by the University for the college
students.

FILIPINIANA AND SPECIAL COLLECTION SECTION
(Bldg. H - 2nd Floor)
The
Filipiniana's special collection section is located at the
second floor of the Main Library at Building H. It keeps
materials that were penned by Filipino authors, published in the
Philippines and deals with the Philippines or its people in part on in
whole. Likewise, it maintains the special collection of the previous
President of JRU, Dr. Jose D. Baltazar and the books of the former
Senator Maria Kalaw Katigbak. All these resources are exclusively
for room use only.
At present, its holdings is about
13,613 volumes. The Rizaliana collection is about 688 volumes. Special collections donated by Dr. Jose Dacanay Baltazar
(JDB) and
the late Senator Maria Kalaw Katigbak (MKK) were also added TO the collection. The JDB collection has a
total of 3,040 volumes of books while that of MKK has 3,413
volumes. These collections are considered one of the
richest collections of the JRU Library.

MULTIMEDIA CENTER (Bldg. H - Ground Floor)
One
of the premier sections of Jose Rizal University
Library is the MULTIMEDIA CENTER. It is
located at the second floor, right corner of
building H and contains an Internet facility and Audio Visual
Room. It provides computer terminals
which students can use free for an hour.
The use of both services require reservations in
advance.
The
Multimedia Section connects and links the
students, faculty members, staff, officers and
outside researchers to online learning
activities through its collections of
audiocassette and videotape recordings, compact
discs and CD-ROMs,
transparencies and other resources.
Special activities of this section include the orientation program for college
freshmen on library facilities, its use
symposium on various subjects, special
presentations and events that require
the use and effects of Multimedia equipment and
resources.
The
Multimedia section is open from 8:00 a.m. to
8:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
