HS Staffers of the Scroll attended a series of Journalism Seminar and Training for Young Journalists sponsored by the YJAM held at the Mandaluyong City Hall on July 30, August 6 and 19 focusing on news writing, lay-out design and basic photography respectively.

The highlight of the seminar was an on-the-spot photo contest that capped off the the third session which primarily focused on basic photography. Participants were tasked to use something “uniquely” interesting as the subject of their photograph. Alyssa Lao, 4A bested delegates coming from Mandaluyong Science, Lourdes School, and NAMEI to take home the first prize which is again a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of the Rizalian.
