Objectives and Admission Requirements

Objectives

 

The primary objectives of JRU High School are (1) to teach the new secondary education curriculum in preparation for adult life, with emphasis on the development of communication and computational skills as well as the reasoning prowess; (2) to inculcate the concept of representative government, national sovereignty, and the Filipino way of life, (3) to develop vocational and technological efficiency; (4) to develop the desirable traits of integrity, self-discipline, diligence and the work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and love of God and country.

 

 

Admission Requirements

 

The following must be presented for registration purposes:

 

New and transfer students*

-          Completed application for admission (JRU Form 1)

-          DepEd Form 138 (report card)**

-          Two identical 2” x 2” photographs

-          Certification of Good Moral Character

 

*Married students who wish to be accepted for admission in the High School may only be admitted in the evening session.

Working students are required to submit a certificate of employment upon enrollment in the evening classes.  Self-employed students should submit a certification from his/her parent/guardian.  Non-working students below 16 years of age must submit a written note of consent from the parent/guardian indicating a justifiable reason for allowing him/her to enroll in the evening session.

 

**Applicants must have obtained satisfactory grades in deportment to be accepted. In the absence of any school record applicants may submit a certified statement on the loss of school records signed by the principal of the school last attended indicating the subjects the applicant passed or a signed a waiver form from the applicant’s parent/guardian for temporary enrolment which indicates therein a commitment date on when to submit the student’s official school record.

 

Foreign nationals

-          Completed application for admission (JRU Form 1)

-          Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) certified by the Department of Education (DepEd.)

-          Two identical 2” x 2” photographs

-          Certification of Good Moral Character

               

The University reserves the right to decline any application for admission to the University, which does not conform, to its policies, rules and regulations.
