Objectives
The Elementary School was established with the primary objectives of (1) developing the basic skills of communication and rational thought, (2) acquiring functional understanding of mathematical skills and scientific concepts, (3) inculcating desirable habits, attitudes, and ideals of democratic citizenship, and (4) instilling love of God and of the Filipino nation. Elementary education is legally compulsory for all Filipinos of school age, and represents the first phase of basic education, the next being provided by high school.
In addition, the Elementary school places particular emphasis upon developing both familiarity and facility with the English language as quickly as possible, and certain basic desirable virtues which appear to be most effectively provided by the school, rather than the family or the church.
