Objectives
Within the context of, and in addition to the
stipulated objectives of the University, the Commerce program is
meant: (1) to prepare the student for a gainful and intellectually
satisfying role in business through a systematic exposure to
specialized knowledge in the major functional areas of business
consisting of production, finance, personnel, and marketing, (2) to instill the supportive computational and communications skills, and
(3) to provide familiarity of the framework of business, inclusive of
the roles of government, and the importance of business ethics.

Candidates for the B.C.S. degree may major in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing,
or Secretarial Science. For all majors, a minimum of 144
units will be required for graduation, except Secretarial
Science where a minimum of 147 units is required and
Computer Science where 155 units is required. The title
of Associate in Commercial Science (A.C.S.) is awarded after
the completion of the first and second curriculum years,
except for major in computer science where the title is
Associate in Informatics (A.I.) and major in secretarial
science where the title is Associate in Secretarial Science
(A.S.S.).
